2x White Bucket & Black Grit Shield

Washing your car with a single bucket is the most common cause of swirl marks and fine scratches in paintwork. Every time you dip your mitt back in, you're putting the dirt you just removed straight back onto your paint. The two-bucket method fixes that — and this kit gives you everything you need to do it properly.

What's in the kit

• 2x 20L white heavy-duty wash buckets — large capacity keeps plenty of clean shampoo solution for a full vehicle wash. White colour lets you see when the water needs changing.
• 2x black grit shields — sit in the bottom of each bucket and trap dirt, grit, and contaminants below a mesh barrier. When you rinse your mitt, the dirty water falls through and the grit stays below — so you're always picking up clean water, not putting grit back on your paint.

How the two-bucket method works

1. Rinse bucket — fill with clean water only. After each panel, rinse your mitt in this bucket to remove dirt and grit. The grit shield traps contamination at the bottom.
2. Wash bucket — fill with your shampoo solution (Cherry Burst or Wash & Glow work brilliantly). After rinsing your mitt, reload with clean soapy water from this bucket before washing the next panel.
3. The result: your mitt is always clean when it touches the paintwork, and dirt never recirculates back onto the car.
